COMING IN ISSUE 2
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Fanzines
--------
Issue two will feature an article looking at the hundreds of traditional
paper fanzines that are available catering for Trekkers. If you are an editor
of a zine and you want your mag covered, send us a copy of the most recent
issue along with details of price, mail order information, whether it is
produced by a club or if it is an independent zine, and any other relevant
information.
Please ensure that the fanzine reaches us by 10th November 1991 so we can
include it in issue 2. Any that arrive after this date will be covered in a
follow-up article in issue 3. We apologise, but we can't return fanzines.
However, we will probably give all the zines away that we receive in a
competition.
We are also considering a series on creating your own fanzine/running your
own Trek fan club. Stay with us to find out more.
Fiction
-------
I'm not promising anything, but we may have some fiction lined up. If there
are any writers out there, send in your stories, short or long.
Articles
--------
More assorted articles - basically whatever we get sent that's useable!
Reviews
-------
More book, video and PD reviews from our regular team, and maybe a few from
our readers (hint, hint!). We don't care if you review anything new or old,
as long as we have never reviewed it in THE FINAL FRONTIER before.
Trivia
------
More questions, answered by our team of Trekkers - Simon Plumbe, Colin Gunn,
Mark Haggett and Tobias Richter. Send YOUR questions to the usual address.
Music
-----
Another couple of tunes by our regular musicians. Any other budding Jerry
Goldsmiths out there? Contact us.
Screw-Ups
---------
More of those mistakes that Paramount would like us all to forget. Know any?
Write in and tell us!
Con Talks
---------
Two more in our series of edited highlights from talks at conventions, this
time featuring John de Lancie (Q from THE NEXT GENERATION) and Guy Vardaman
(Co-Research Consultant for TREK at Paramount and regular stand-in and extra
on THE NEXT GENERATION). What do you think of these? Would you rather have
these or interviews? Let us know.
Also we already have a talk lined up for issue 3 with none other than Carel
Struycken (Mr Homn from THE NEXT GENERATION) recorded at his first U.K.
convention, talking about TREK, TWIN PEAKS and his work on the new film based
on THE ADDAMS FAMILY. Expect to see it in issue 3.
Episode Guides
--------------
Do you want to see episode guides in THE FINAL FRONTIER? If so, write and
tell us. We won't include one unless we get a BIG response (at least 500
requests - by DIFFERENT people!!).
We have got episode guides started on for seasons one to four of THE NEXT
GENERATION, both seasons of the Animated series and all three seasons of the
original series, so we could have them ready in a matter of weeks.
Letters
-------
The first batch of your letters telling us what you think of THE FINAL
FRONTIER or about ANYTHING to do with TREK or TNG.
Let's See What's Out There
--------------------------
Details of more new merchandise coming your way. Can your bank accounts take
all the pressure? Probably not!
Pocket Book Guide
-----------------
Upated to include the latest TREK and TNG novels, with a few revisions as
well.
Fan Club List
-------------
Expanded to include between 100 and 200 clubs and hopefully some DETAILED
descriptions on a few of them.
Trek Forum
----------
A new article featuring collected comments from YOU, the readers, on a
specific subject related to TREK, edited into article form. First is
Censorship and TREK. Write in FAST! Issue 3 will feature STAR TREK V - good
or bad. If you hate the film, tell us why. TREK V fans write in and defend
the film!
All this plus a new intro, art and anything else that YOU send to us! All
this will be available from mid-December 1991 from all good PD libraries.
